Hi! I'm Amy, an American, and my partner Marty is Dutch. We both follow a vegan diet. For me it was after decades of vegetarianism, and for Marty it was after around 18 years of being 99% vegetarian at home and an omni outside. We've spent the last eight months making foodie trips abroad and researching restaurants and products in the Netherlands. It's been an exciting time for us, and we'd love to share our local knowledge with you! We're strictly vegan, but not judgemental with vegetarians, as that would be more than a bit hypocritical! We understand that people are in different places in that respect.

I have been vegetarian all my life and since around 7 years ago I try to be vegan as well, which is working out quite well! My 2018 renovated apartment has it all: low-temperature floor heating, PV panels, 4 types or recycling, ceramic cooking plate, quality second hand furniture, lots of plants, foldable bicycle for rent, and of course full access to the well equipped vegan kitchen :)

Raised as a vegetarian I was aware of the impact of my choices for animals, hunger, environment. Now I have a small B&B in which I show what is important for me: I grow my own vegetables and fruit, I'm trying to become independent of fossile energy (electric car/motorcycle, solar panels, heat pump etc) and I host chicken out of factory farming to have a nice retirement.

Since I can remember I love animals. I feel very connected to nature, dogs, cats, sheep, cows, pigs, horses, birds etc. I was raised on a dairy farm and that wasn’t always easy for me. Only some years ago I quit eating meat and since last year I reduced consumption of milk products. Sorry animals it took me so long! My lifestyle is not common in a farming family and here in the country I don't know many people who eat plantbased. That is why I like to meet people similar to me. In the old farmhouse where my grandmother was born more than 100 years ago, we have build comfortable apartments for guests. In the apartments we use as much as possible environmental friendly products, and I will give you advice where you can buy your local veggies. When you stay with us, you can discover the beautifull Frisian lake district by boat or bicycle. Please be aware of the fact that my friendly family still eats meat and there are many mainstream farmers in the surroundings, but also some nice smaller biological farms.

Hi all I am a vegan living in a very quiet part of Nederland, in the village of Melissant. Fellow vegans, or in transition vegetarians, are most welcome to stay at my place for some days. I offer a couch for free, and from the summer of 2025 onwards, a guesthouse as well. Have a peak at my listings.

Sinds 2012 I became pationate Vegan. Before that, I was an enthousiastic vegetarian for many many years. My choice was with regard to animals. This choice led me later to study natural food so I could be well informed and advise others when the occasion occurred. I love renting my house to fellow animal lovers who translate their love into a a life style. Aside from that I am a natural therapist with a practise. I work with trauma and themes in which people are stuck, burn outs and emotional and physical pain. I am currently writing an urban fantasy book with plenty of slight or clear confrontations about consumption choices especially related to animals. I hope this book will inspire many to make conscious and compassionate choices. Also I often work in my perma culture kitchen garden which requires quite a lot of attention.
