About this space
At a 50 minute drive south of Rotterdam, you'll find Melissant. A quiet village at a 15 minutes from some great beaches and the North Sea. And at a 5 minute bicycle ride from the 'Slikken van Flakkee' a lovely area for walking and cycling. Melissant is nothing special, but the nearby charming towns of Goedereede, Sommelsdijk and Middelharnis are worth a visit.You can stay on my comfortable double couch and use the kitchen and bathroom.Our household are myself, my 21 y/o step son, a small dog and a cat. The furry inhabitants might decide to sleep on the couch with you. This is totally up to them.
The space
Besides the couch, you are welcome to sit in the insect friendly (messy...) small garden and park a motorbike or your bicycles in the garage.
The kitchen
Fridge, oven, stove and such are at your disposal.
I've no microwave or too many fancy appliances but I love to cook and bake and I think my kitchen is well utilized.
Other things to note
The doggy will bark when people enter the house. Nothing some cuddles won't help.

I generally go to sleep around 22hrs. Fine for you to watch tv after this hour, or talk and listen to some music, as long as it's not too loud. Please take your shoes off inside! I often work from home but have a semi separate home office so I'm not much bothered if you are around. Just accept that while I'm there, I'm not much available for inquiries or a chat. Please also be aware that the couch is in an open plan kitchen living space so you have next to no privacy. And when I'm pottering around early in the morning you will probably wake up.

Hi all I am a vegan living in a very quiet part of Nederland, in the village of Melissant. Fellow vegans, or in transition vegetarians, are most welcome to stay at my place for some days.
