We are both devoted vegans, living in a vegan household with 2 children and a rescue dog. We are both actors as well as Kolbeinn being a painter (90% of the art on the walls is his) and me being a script writer. We work together a lot and enjoy nothing more than each others company. We enjoy traveling (of course), eating amazing vegan food (more of course), spending time with good people, fighting for the cause (if one can say the enjoy being reminded of the horrors), working and playing (from crossword puzzles to video games).

Getting around the area
Kópavogur town is the largest town in Iceland (with Reykjavík being a city of course) and a part of the capital area. It's so large that our location is in the center of that area (which consists of a few more towns + the capital). You are in a prime location to explore further than just the downtown of Reykjavík. Within walking distance is Fossvogsdalur, a large grassy area that's full of children, dogs and families during the summers. There's a little forest you can explore and a botanical garden as well. A 20 minute walk will get you to the largest shopping mall in Iceland, Smáralind. There's our local gym (World Class) and all around there are shops like supermarkets, second hand clothing and more. The mall also has an arcade, perfect for family outings on rainy days. 20 minutes in another direction you'll find Gerðarsafn, an art museum that hosts a pizzeria as well. They have vegetarian options, a bit lacking in the vegan department. For proper vegan recommendations it's best to message us! 🌱 There's a bus stop a few minutes from here that will take you to a bus stop hub. From there, travel is easy. Again, we also have a parking spot right outside the house for car-rentals.

About This Space
A closer look at the stay
About
Room for rent - vegan diet only 💚 We have a room that's very... roomy! It's got a smart TV that you can use that has an AppleTV hooked to it. The space has a large bed, on set of drawers, a mirror, desk and plenty of light. It's the first space you pass when entering the flat so it's easy to pop in and out (just mind the stairs from the entry).
The space
We also rent out our entire flat but when we're home, we rent out only this room. You'd be sharing the space with one or both of us and our dog. We work from home quite a bit so we do require some calmness and will not be available at all times. We use the living room mostly so would appreciate it not being used too much by guests when we are at home. The kitchen
the kitchen is your's when you need it. You will have a shelf in the fridge and all equipment is useable - we simply ask only vegan ingredients are used. We have a glass blender that's a bit heavy so please be careful not to drop it. It's sturdy though! We have all the usual suspects I'd think - except for a large food processor.
Other things to note
We have a 14 year old rescue dog named Apríl. She's our baby, along with her two human sisters. Sadly, she's not vegan as her Vet strongly opposes dietary changes. We however only give her vegan treats and toppings on her food now. It's unfortunate, but we try our best. The area is very calm and surrounded by families only. Our neighbours leave very early for work but we never hear them - they're mindful of us. Bear in mind, they do smoke on their balcony 1-2 a day so if there is sensitivity it's best to close the windows above the balconies around mid-day until dinner time. That being said, we keep them open and are rarely aware of their habits. Wind often works in our favour!
