Hi ! I am a longtime lacto-vegetarian and have been following a yoga diet and lifestyle since the 80's when I joined an ashram in London. I live on the edge of town in Featherston, Wairarapa in New Zealand where I grow most of my own organic veg. I am a practising artist and a newcomer to pottery. I try to visit India regularly to immerse myself in the precepts and practice of bhakti yoga.

First off, the host is very friendly and kindly allowed us to be flexible with check in times to fit our itinerary. We visited in winter and it was very cozy and warm with an old world charm. It’s a beautiful combination of rustic New Zealand architecture with the luxury of modern amenities. I found the fireplace a real treat I could sit by it and just get lost in the cozy mess of the place. The photos don’t do the house justice and the bed is more comfortable than my bed at home. Great value for money, (during winter - presumably the off season) and it invited us to enjoy a relaxed, cozy lifestyle. Time just seemed to slow right down while we were there, in a good way of course. Well worth a stay and it was an amazing winter getaway.
