This is a lovely, quirky place to stay. We were very comfortable, and we appreciated all the little extras that were provided. Itβs also nice to see the environmental efforts that the owner has gone to, which are often lacking in accommodation. We look forward to coming back in Summer and sitting outside, enjoying the lovely view.

I am an artist and academic who is an adjunct senior lecturer at the School of Creative Arts & Media, University of Tasmania. Having felt like I was running an informal B&B for many years for friends and family,I decided she may as well offer my home and hospitality to other travellers. I have been hosting on AirBnB for a couple of years with a caveat that all guests must be veg*n at home, but when I heard about VegVisits I was really excited! Yvette is keen vegan cook and an active advocate for animals.

We loved The Cave! It was a warm and cosy home away from home for our week in Hobart. Well equipped with everything we needed - even some plant-based food staples to get us started. Our host was kind and welcoming without being intrusive. And it was just a short walk to the city centre. Will definitely stay there again when visiting Hobart.

AliciaThis is a wonderful Airbnb. It was also our first time travelling with our new assistance dog, and Yvette was very accommodating and even provided dog bowls, which was greatly appreciated. The location is excellent, so we were able to enjoy a beautiful walk in Knocklofty Reserve on the morning of our departure and I was able to get a coffee from Zimmah which is my favourite roaster. I also appreciated the late check out!
