Hello! My name is Maramonie. I am the founder of Harmony Farm Sanctuary and Wellness Center, a vegan farmed animal sanctuary in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. I am also a child and family therapist specializing in trauma and work in the community where I live. My favorite animal is a pig, and, though I was vegetarian for a decade, it was pigs that ultimately made me make the full switch to vegan. I love educating people about veganism and helping them see typically farmed animals as the emotive, sensitive, thoughtful, and loving beings they are, as individuals.
My Lifestyle
I am busy, busy, busy! Between running a farm animal sanctuary, working FT as a therapist, and also working on my doctorate, I don't have much time for anything outside of those realms. I am a homebody and love to be outdoors whenever possible.
Favourite Books, Music & Movies
My favorite books are the Abarat series by Clive Barker. I also love most Stephen King and a good horror movie any day! I am a child of the 80s and still listen to the music from my childhood...The Cure, The Smiths, Duran Duran, David Bowie. I also enjoy indie dance and 80s-esq type music of today.

About
Harmony Farm Sanctuary and Wellness Center is a vegan farmed animal sanctuary located in the beautiful Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We are currently home to over 80 rescued residents.
The space
Accommodations are provided in a very private 16' canvas bell tent situated in the forest. The tent is tastefully decorated and designed for comfort with a queen bed with luxury pillow top mattress (another 1-2 twin sized floor mattress(es) can be provided upon request and for extra guest fee). There is rechargeable and solar lighting throughout the tent and site. All bedding and pillows are included as well as additional sleeping bags for extra chilly nights. There is a 10 gallon cooler of drinking water at the site as well as a spigot near the barn. To really enjoy the experience there is a fully stocked fire pit with Adirondack chairs as well as a hammock hanging under a massive pine. The outhouse is lovely, clean, and private and stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, antibacterial wipes, hand sanitizer, and cleaning spray. Finally, a HOT outdoor shower under a canopy of trees really makes for a memorable experience.
The kitchen
There is a fully covered outdoor kitchen including a grill with side burner, beautiful handmade table and benches, and cooler with ice packs available upon request. All pans, utensils, dishes, cups, mugs, French press, kettle, coffee, and variety of teas are included as well as a dish tub, towels, dish soap, and everything else needed to wash dishes.
Other things to note
We have over 80 animals living on the property, with 3 dogs and pigs who sometimes roam freely. WiFi is available at the site, around barn, and much of the paddock area. Parking is clearly marked. The site is a 90 second walk from the parking area down a wide, well-packed, gravel road. A large wagon is provided for transporting luggage and supplies from your car to the site.
