About this space

The cabin is situated on a hill in it's own small garden of wildflowers and developing food forest.Meet some of our rescue animals. Sit out by the campfire and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside.It's a great place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Irish Midlands.We have a large organic kitchen garden. Guests are welcome to purchase seasonal produce via our honesty box. All proceeds will go towards animal care.

The space

Your accommodation is a secluded cosy bespoke cabin, set in its own private garden of fruit trees and wildlife perfect for 2 people to relax in. Cabin is open plan and has a small but well equipped kitchenette. 2 single beds or a king size bed are available. There is a porch to relax on and an area for a campfire and BBQ.

There is a separate cabin just next door with a compost toilet and shower.

The kitchen

The cabin has a small fridge and mini electric oven and hob, microwave, nutribullet and a stick blender and plenty of pots, pans and bowls etc.

Other things to note

There are free-ranging animals on our sanctuary, including goats, hens, ducks, cats and ponies.

The cabin was the most beautiful well thought out little home. It was very peaceful, and the many amenities were just perfect. I was delighted to meet all the animals and absorb the magical vibes of the sanctuary. We got to relax physically and spiritually and became fast friends with our incredible hosts. David and Helen are very kind, intuitive people who made us feel at home immediately. The food from the garden was incredible! Could not recommend this enough.

Beautifully crafted cabin set amongst fruit trees, set in its own little garden patch and looking out over the field where the goats live. The cabin is very well thought out and presented, and showering here was a delight, with views out towards the sunset in the west. There were plenty of places to sit, relax and unwind, and so after the relative bustle of Dublin we had a very recharging and peaceful stay. We really enjoyed the delicious produce from the garden, and had a great chat with Helen about the joys and challenges of running a vegan sanctuary in the Irish midlands. We left with much respect for all that you do 💚

Neighbourhood

Our Sanctuary is based in North Kildare, just 45 minutes drive from Dublin. We are situated on a small hill surrounded by agricultural land and stunning views across the Countryside.
We're very rural and a car is essential for exploring the area, but if you just want to relax on our sanctuary we could arrange a taxi from the bus stop or train station for you or possibly pick you up by prior arrangement.
