My name is Mary. I'm married to my bestfriend. We do everything together and love to travel in our rv. We love going on hikes with our dogs, and driving around in the side by side. I have an obsession with crystals so we decided to open a shop in our home office. We're always looking for the next adventure.

Tour Guide

We have recently started a Forest Tour service, called Wooten's Wonders Forest Tours, that we would like to extend to our guests. We have two Can-Am Defender side by sides that seat four adults in each comfortably, with the ability to have two smaller adults or children in between. We have routes mapped out to some of our favorite destinations in the forest, such as Whiskey Falls and the Roush Cabin. Enjoy beautiful views in the comfort of a full cab with ac and heater. We also stop for adventures and hiking, if that's something of interest. We normally charge $25 an hour per person. That can all be discussed before booking.

Neighborhood

Getting around the area

Cascadel Woods is a quiet little community, nestled in the mountains. There is so much to explore just in the community alone. Lower Whiskey Falls is about a 5 minute walk from the front door. Outside of the community, there is an organic health foods store called The Gnarly Carrot. They will have what you need, if you forget anything. The town of North Fork also has a small market, post office, two coffee shops, a few little shops, and a fuel station.

About This Space

A closer look at the stay

About

Nestled in charming Cascadel Woods, this beautiful space will have you out exploring everything nature has to offer. The log cabin exterior makes you feel like you're in a cabin in the woods, while the interior gives you warm homey vibes. And with the flip of a few switches, the vibe can change into an all-in-one personal rave. Equipped with color changing lights and lasers throughout the house, and a sound system that shakes the cabinets. The backyard leads to a community walking path that opens up to a spacious meadow, and just beyond that is lower Whiskey Falls. If you're up for more of an adventure, there's a logging road just outside of the community that opens up to many trails for hiking as well as off roading. The green gate is normally locked mid December- early April. Beyond the gate, you can find even more trails, along with Whiskey Falls. I'm getting a little off topic, let's get back to the house. It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom two-story home with a very large kitchen equipped with all stainless steel cookware and gadgets galore. We have two fully electric reclining love seats with a 65" tv in the living room to relax after a long day of adventuring. And if it's cold outside, there's a big wood burning stove to warm up.

The space

The guest room is downstairs, with a Queen bed, directly across the hallway from the bathroom. There is a small closet with hangers for your clothes in the bathroom. Down the hallway leads to the kitchen, dining area, and the living room. The backyard is accessible through the dining area.

The kitchen

The kitchen has an electric stovetop and oven, with all necessary cookware you may need. Granite countertops all around. I like to cook big meals, so I'd be more then happy to share if you don't feel like cooking. There can be room in the refrigerator/ freezer to accommodate your needs. There is also a large island, perfect for meal prepping.

Other things to note

We currently have 3 very friendly dogs. They may be nosey when you first arrive, but they do listen very well. The driveway is plenty big for all size vehicles. The drive to the house is very windy, and there are many steep inclines. As long as there isn't any snow or ice on the road, you shouldn't have a problem. We now have Star Link Wi-Fi available for guests. We recently started a tour guide business to take people into the forest and show them a few of our favorite spots. More info below.
