Located at 12.97° N 75.78° E in the Western Ghats at 3000-3500 feet above sea level, resides one of the most picturesque hills of South India. Some call it "the Scotland of the East”. The region's cool climate and enchanting hilly terrain is a refreshing change from the mundane. The region boasts some of the best coffee and cardamom estates. Other specialties of this region include honey, oranges, pepper and vanilla. Popularly known as the Green Route, it is a sanctuary for nature lovers. It's home to 1200 species of birds endemic to Western Ghats found no where else in the world and a trekkers Paradise.
