Legassi Gardens is a Vegan Plant-Based Holiday Rental in Accra, Ghana. We offer airport pickup, escorted trips, volunteer opportunities and a welcoming smile!

The space

Each apartment is private, with its own entrance and patio. You can enjoy the gardens or roof terrace at your leisure, for yoga, breathing- or try our table tennis and badminton!

WiFi is free, so is the music from our many birds, and the companionship of our butterflies.

Our pets are ‘guest friendly’ so fear not!

The kitchen

The kitchen space is basic, with fridge & table top cooking appliances, together with cooking utensils.

Please bring your own special equipment.

We avoid electric kettles etc to save on energy:)

Other things to note

On Sundays the local churches make noise! But then, this is Africa so that’s to be expected.

It’s normally fairly peaceful here though. Any issues, we speak with our neighbors and ask them to consider the comfort of our guests. Everyone is happy.

I hail from Jamaica, and am a fun loving, DIY genius! I enjoy playing the guitar and singing (if I can remember the words!), deep conversations and keeping my guests happy. Me and my family maintain a green and beautiful garden for our guests to enjoy and you will often see me pottering around the compound. I have lived in Ghana for 30 years so know it well. I have been vegan for decades, and met many challenges when I came here, but I stuck with it and overcame them all. I’ve had guests from every continent so everyone should feel welcome:)

Neighbourhood

We are in Pokuase, just off the Pokuase Interchange, and on a hill overlooking the town…and other hills. This is the Ga Traditional homeland- Okei Kwei Hill, where every August the Homowo Festival is celebrated by locals and visitors alike.

Pokuase town is a vibrant area, with lots of shopping, markets, bars and restaurants. If you like roaming and exploring, this is the place! This is NOT a touristy area, just very authentic and friendly.

Very good for transportation links as well, so jump on a bus and get anywhere!
