About This Space

A closer look at the stay

About

We are an English-Polish couple (Ola and John) living in rural North-East Poland. We live in a renovated old wooden house, with established gardens and orchard. We would be very happy to share our place with you. In our area you can still enjoy unspoiled, beautiful nature, wonderful forests, lakes and rivers. It is a great place for nature lovers, birdwatchers, people who enjoy outdoor activities like cycling, walking, dogtrekking, canoeing, nordic walking... You can pitch your tent in our garden, use one small room in our house and enjoy a quiet and peaceful time, delicious fruits, vegs and herbs from our garden. You can making jams with us, collect herbs, hunt for mushrooms, swimming in the lake, walking with our dog, helping in the garden and with our renovation project, learning knitting and crochet. We can share with you our experience of using Effective Microorganisms instead of chemical products at home and in the garden. There is no bathroom or Wi-Fi. We have a well, electricity, compost toilet, summer-outside shower, warm hearts and always healthy vegetarian meals for our guests. Car access is limited. We encourage everyone to leave behind the stress of city life, and take a break from electronic gadgets. It is a little off the beaten track but well worth seeking out for those who wish to experience the simple lifestyle based on ecological responsibility towards this Earth.

The space

Guest access: We have a "Green Library" where you can find books covering a wide variety of subjects, including eco-philosophy, organic and biodynamic gardening, as well as a good range of general reading material. We also encourage people to express their own creativity through the arts - music, painting, photography, sculpture, poetry, etc. We are inspired and supported by the eco-philosopher Prof. Henryk Skolimowski..."

The kitchen

We have pet food which is not vegetarian.

Other things to note

We share our house with a dog. You are welcome with your dog, but please ask first.
