Hi! My name is Robine and I am the founder and director of Harmony Farm Sanctuary, a vegan farmed animal sanctuary located between Bend and Sisters, Oregon. My family and I are all vegans. I first became vegan in my early 20's when I read a book called "Diet for a New America" by John Robbins (heir to the Baskin Robbins fortune). It changed my life. I never thought it would lead me to opening and operating an animal sanctuary, but here I am! We started the sanctuary in 2014 and have come a long way since. Today we provide sanctuary for about 135 animal residents. This is truly a labor of love.
My Lifestyle
Vegan lifestyle! Our family of 4 are all vegans who LOVE to eat delicious vegan foods. I try to be WFPB, but sometimes we eat vegan junk food and we're ok with that.
Fun Facts About Me
My favorite animals are pigs! They are so smart! We currently have 18 pigs at our sanctuary.
Hobbies & Interests
Animal Rescue Animal care-taking Hiking Traveling used to be my favorite thing, though its much more difficult now that we run a sanctuary.

About This Space
A closer look at the stay
About
You will stay in a hand-made tiny house at our beautiful vegan farm sanctuary, Harmony Farm Sanctuary. You will wake up in the morning to the sound of roosters crowing and our crew of friendly animal residents. The tiny house has a stunning view of the Three Sisters mountains. The tiny house offers an amazing "glamping" experience.
The space
Our hand made tiny house on our vegan farm sanctuary offers a double sized mattress (bedding included) in the upstairs area (access via an attached ladder). Room for an additional person across from double bed also in upstairs area.
The kitchen
Tiny house "kitchen area" has a refrigerator, small counter space for meal prep, a tea kettle for hot water, water jug for fresh water, french press coffee pot and coffee/tea, hot plate for cooking, popcorn maker and popcorn, pots and pans, silverware, napkins, bottle openers, etc. There is also a detailed list of vegan restaurants and food carts in the tiny house.
Other things to note
There is no running water in the tiny house. We do offer a water jug and wash basin (for dish washing or brushing teeth). The toilet in the tiny house is a composting toilet. There is also a port-potty located near the barn of the sanctuary available for use. In summer months, we will offer an outdoor shower. The ladder is steep and the rungs are a bit too far apart (we are working on fixing that problem) and not suitable for small children. You will wake up to the sounds of animals! Please park by the barn and use the yellow wagon to wheel your belongings to the tiny house.
