Getting around the area
Your stay is more than just a roof and walls; it’s a whole sanctuary experience. Lucky Stars Sanctuary has been rescuing and caring for injured, neglected, and abandoned animals since 2016. As a guest, you’ll have the rare opportunity to wander the grounds, meet the resident animals, and reconnect with nature in a way that’s genuinely good for the soul. No entrance fee. No agenda. Just you, the animals, and 100 acres of grassy landscapes and rainforest. Guests are welcome to join us on our twice-daily rounds to meet and feed the animals.

About

Stay in The Kingfisher — a stunning off-grid tiny home by Unplgd — complete with a wood-fired hot tub, stargazing skylight, and twice-daily animal encounters. No TV. No WiFi. Just nature, rescued animals, and the reset you didn’t know you needed.
The space
Tucked into 100 acres of stunning grassland, bushland and rainforest, this is no ordinary getaway. We’re proud to host The Kingfisher; a beautifully crafted tiny home by Unplgd, one of Australia’s leading tiny home builders. Known for their exceptional quality, clever design, and commitment to sustainable living, The Kingfisher is the flagship of the Unplgd loft range, and staying in one is an experience in itself. Warm, light-filled, and surprisingly spacious, this loft-style retreat is the perfect base for a true nature escape. And unlike any other Unplgd experience, you’re staying right on the grounds of Lucky Stars Sanctuary, home to beloved rescued animals who’d love to meet you. Whether you’re after a romantic weekend away, a family micro-adventure, or simply a quiet reset in nature, The Kingfisher by Unplgd is the ideal getaway.
The kitchen
While we only provide vegan items, guests don’t have to be vegan to stay in the tiny home. We do throughly clean everything, including the bbq between each stay.
