Hello, I'm Shira. I am a long term vegan, an animal and human rights activist, an earth-loving being and a mother of two young boys. On my travels in the UK and abroad, I have found it very difficult to find vegan accommodation. *A Welcoming Haven* I know how important it is for vegans to stay in a vegan household. I also appreciate the joy of finding vegan fellowship and sharing stories and plant-based recipes around the table together. As I am moving out of the area for the time being, I have taken the decision to rent out my lovely riverside home. I hope you will have a wonderful stay and be very happy here :)

Getting around the area
The Vegan Home offers pocket-friendly accommodation in the picturesque Calder Valley, near the vibrant and creative town of Hebden Bridge. Overlooking the canal and the river, with views of the woodland, this is a cosy home-from-home where all are welcome. There are excellent public transport links, with direct rail connections to York, Halifax, Leeds and Manchester. The bus service from Halifax to Todmorden passes every 10 minutes, from a bus stop near The Vegan Home. Walkers and cyclists making their way along the Pennine way will find that we are ideally located as a stop-off point.

About
The Vegan Home is a spacious 3 bedroom, pet-friendly, exclusively plant-based holiday house where all are welcome. Shira's colourful and cosy home is located in a beautiful setting on the riverside overlooking the green rolling hills and the woods. It is only a stone's throw from the Pennine way and just a short walk along the canal from the vibrant and picturesque town of Hebden Bridge.
The space
Guests are welcomed into Shira's riverside vegan home, where they will have exclusive use of the whole house. Guests are welcome to our riverside holiday home. The entire house will be available for your exclusive use and is located in the picturesque Calder valley, a few steps away from the Pennine way, facing the river, canal and the hill view. We are only a short walk away along the canal from the beautiful town of Hebden Bridge, famed for its interesting and creative copmmunity, where you will find ample options for plant-based dining. House lay out: Downstairs, there is a comfortable and spacious kitchen/ dining room where guests can cook for themselves plant based meals. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need to make a big meal for a large family or group of friends… we have all the crockery, cutlery and utensils, pots and pans you might need. There is also toilet room with a washing machine for your convenience and a spacious living room with a wood burner. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms for guests and a big bathroom. The largest room has a king size bed and a double loft bed (with an option for another single bed under the loft bed). The river view room has a double bed and a small two seater sofa. The bunk room is ideal for children or for those not wanting to share a bed. Come and make yourself at home :)

Non-vegan guests are very welcome to stay. Shira kindly asks that no meat products are brought into The Vegan Home.
