Spiritual Sanctuary and Wellness Center with Temple, Pool, Pond and Gardens
About this space
This is a historic estate and gardens, which my partner and I have lovingly transformed into a vegan wellness center and spiritual sanctuary. We welcome VegVisits guests to make use of the space for yoga classes, spiritual retreats and vacations. The temple offers a shared, fully-stocked kitchen, and everything guests may need for their culinary adventures. The temple has views of the pool area, which is complete with a food service window, and romantic seating areas beneath an organic orange tree. There are two rooms, with enough floor beds for six guests, plus air mattresses available for extra guests. The main room is the perfect place to enjoy music circles, meditation classes, sound baths or simply being cozy and enjoying the warmth of the fireplace. The kitchen is very much a chefs kitchen, complete with a blender, juicer, tea maker or kettle, acacia wood cooking utensils, non-toxic cookware, a coffee machine, dual stainless-steel food dehydrators, rice makers, etc. Available by request: food processor, coffee grinder, or whatever you need for a comfortable stay.Organic cotton towels, cruelty-free soap and a welcome basket full of vegan snacks and organic goodies are always included for our wonderful guests. We have dogs and cats that reside on the property. Our dogs are plant-based and super friendly with children and other dogs, however, guests have their own yard to enjoy in case their pets are not friendly or not allowed to be around other animals.The property is not optimal for small children, as the pool and koi pond are not covered or protected by fencing. However, we do welcome children as long as they are never left unattended during their stay.Guests will have access to the swimming pool, tennis court and koi pond during their stay.There is a temple at the estate, available for yoga, meditation, massage and sound baths, by appointment only.
The space
The temple has two main rooms, one large room with fireplace, two crystal chandeliers, views of the pool area and garden, and room for 12 adults to sleep comfortably. The treatment room (just off the main room of the temple) has a massage table (that is removable) and beautiful garden and fountain views, and enough room for 3-4 adults to sleep comfortably. Within the same building, there is an outdoor half-bathroom (toilet & sink), an indoor full bathroom (with bathtub, sink and toilet), and another full bathroom just down the hall. The space can most comfortably accommodate up to 16 adults, however, we have hosted retreats for 20 people in the past.
The kitchen
4-burner gas stove with full-size oven, refrigerator and freezer, stainless steel sink, lots of counter space, air-conditioners and a fan. The kitchen includes non-toxic cookware, acacia wood cooking utensils, blender, toaster, sushi making kit, water filter, kitchen scales, and so much more.
Other things to note
Animals at the Property:
We have numerous rescued animals whom reside at the property. Many feral cats, friendly dogs, and a few indoor cats, however none of our furry family members live inside the temple and guest areas. Therefore, if you have animal allergies or sensitivities, the temple it is the perfect space for you to feel at ease. You will be able to spot countless varieties of butterflies, friendly bees and hummingbirds during your stay.
Parking:
Street and onsite parking is available at no cost. Onsite RV parking is also available, with some notice and time to prepare for arrival. Street parking is free, and we have enough space for 100+ vehicles.
Smoking:
Cigarette use is strictly forbidden at the property. Cannabis and medicinal tobacco use is allowed only in designated outdoor areas.
Traveling with Pets:
Please inquire as to pets. We do make an effort to maintain a pet-free temple space, for the sake of those with allergies or sensitivities, but we may be able to accommodate your animal companions in other areas or rooms within the property during your stay.
