About this space

This surburban haven can accommodate a family of two adults and three children, as we have a small double room and another room with a bunk bed and a futon. The space is also suitable for up to five adults, assuming some a comfortable with bunk beds! We are a vegan couple with a vegan teen and two vegetarian smaller children. There is never dairy milk in the house. We have a large living space for you to enjoy, with a small family bathroom and a large well equipped kitchen. We are perfect for an overnight stay when en route to a ferry port (20 mins drive from Portsmouth), or we are perfectly positioned as a base to explore the South Downs national park, the historic towns of Chichester, Winchester, Petersfield and Old Portsmouth, and the famous historic dockyard where you can see Nelson's Victory and Henry VIII's Mary Rose wreckage. We have several great seafronts including Southsea, West Wittering, Hayling Island and Bognor Regis. We also have some beautiful harbours including Emsworth and Bosham.Our rescued greyhound Sammy is on a fully vegan diet, as my partner runs a vegan pet food company.Though I have had to list our kitchen as veggie, we are mostly vegan.

The space

The garden is large with outside dining areas and additional patio areas.

The small double bedroom has a wardrobe and the other bedroom is set for younger guests in mind and is larger.

The ground floor area is open plan with a large dining area and a large kitchen with breakfast bar. There is a locked playroom downstairs and two locked bedrooms upstairs, as we need to store our personal stuff as we travel. There is a small bathroom upstairs with a shower and bath, and a downstairs cloakroom with toilet and sink. The garden has large mature trees at the rear and isnt really overlooked. There is one parking space available on the drive, and plenty of on street parking in the cul de sac.

The kitchen

There is plenty of counter space, a large fridge freezer, a washer drier and a separate tumble drier. There is a sink and a dishwasher, microwave and a kettle. There is a large electric double oven and 6 gas hobs. There is a cafetiere and teapot. We never allow meat into our home.

Neighbourhood

The cul de sac is small and friendly and set in an urban estate not far from the local town. There are some woods nearby for strolls (Hurst wood, Queens Inclosure) and a bus stop is a 2 minute walk away. The house is perfectly positioned close to the A3 with links to London (1.5 hours away) and the M27 which takes you into Portsmouth. We love VK Diner in Waterlooville, which is a fully vegan cafe/restaurant with a great vibe.
