I'm an IT Geek by day, with a career working in software development. I'm a 22 yr committed relationship with the love of my life, who is a nurse. We just built our dream home in a lovely rural area just north of Hartford in a new community, which we'd love to share with you! My partner and I keep busy with home improvements, working in our gardens in the summer, and leaving our lovely new home every chance we get to see the world. We love to share travel experiences. My hobby is choral singing and my partner keeps a few pet parrots. And, we're both Vegans for over 15 years. As far as a motto or rule to live by, I guess that would be "The Golden Rule". Getting around the area
Our home is located in a cul de sac in a quiet newer neighborhood in the northern suburbs of Hartford. We're about 4 miles north of downtown Bloomfield (Post Office, CVS, Restaurants, etc). . 2 Miles from the nearest gas station, convenience store, and dunken doughnuts. 4 miles from the nearest grocery store. 7.5 miles to the nearest Whole Foods Favorite places: We're 4 miles from Bradley (Hartford/Springfield) International airport, 20 minutes to downtown Hartford or Springfield, and about 20 minutes to West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square and all its restaurants. Our home is also very convenient to the Windsor area Corporate business parks. We're also convenient to the i91 and i84 highways. Six Flags New England is 30 minutes away. Northampton, Mass is about 40 minutes away. Getting around: Although having a car to get around our location is the most convenient option, there is a local bus stop a half a mile from our home where bus #52 will take you to downtown Hartford in about a half hour. From the same stop, bus #54 takes you east on Day Hill Rd to the Poquonock Ave Bus stop where there is an express bus to Hartford weekdays mornings and afternoons. Certain corporate office parks are actually quite close to our home. Taxi & Uber service also operates in our area.

A closer look at the stay
About
Spacious and beautifully decorated private guest room with a queen size bed, with a private full bath. Our home is situated on a quiet cul de sac in the northern Hartford suburbs. Feel free to use our vegan kitchen (cooking limited to what you can do with a microwave) and chill out on the covered porch or garden patio. Only 4 miles from Bradley airport and 20 minutes to Hartford or Springfield. Minutes to West Hartford Center, Windsor area businesses, and area colleges.
The space
Our lovely guest bedroom and private bath is located on one side of the house (great room/kitchen/dining room in the middle) and the other bedrooms are located on the other side. Our kitchen with its dishes, utensils and cookware is all vegan. Whether you're visiting our area for business and pleasure, come back to our home to relax, chat, watch some TV, and share a bottle of wine. Our newly built home is located in a nearly completed community in the northern Hartford suburbs, with wonderful views of the hills to the north. We're at the end of a quiet cul de sac with plenty of parking. Guest access: Access to our home and your accommodates is through our front door. You'll have access to the our whole home. We have WIFI. A nice and private back porch and patio awaits you to just chill out with a coffee or a glass of wine, to share stories from the day.
The kitchen
The closet Whole Foods about 7.5 miles away. We also have a Trader Joes about 12 miles away. We have a bunch of recommendations for wonderful vegan and veg-friendly restaurants nearby. We also provide complimentary organic coffee, travel cups, cereal, yogurt, and misc and other organic and vegan condiments.
