Getting around the area
Our Sanctuary is based in North Kildare, just 45 minutes drive from Dublin. We are situated on a small hill surrounded by agricultural land and stunning views across the Countryside. We're very rural and a car is essential for exploring the area, but if you just want to relax on our sanctuary we are accessible by train or bus from Dublin and a short taxi ride.

About This Space
A closer look at the stay
About
The cabin is situated on a hill in it's own small garden of wildflowers and developing food forest. Meet some of our rescue animals. Sit out by the campfire and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside. It's a great place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Irish Midlands and base for exploring surrounding counties. You can even leave the car and take a train into Dublin but still retreat to the peace and quiet. We have developed our entire site which is less than 3/4 acre into a track system, otherwise known as Paradise Paddock which is a system for keeping horses more naturally to encourage movement and interest and keeps the ground mud free. The track surrounds our house, garden, organic kitchen garden and other animal enclosures and we are constantly working to enrich and improve the environment for our animals. See what can be achieved in a small space with a little ingenuity and creativity. Guests are welcome to purchase seasonal produce via our honesty box. All proceeds will go towards animal care.
The space
Your accommodation is a secluded cosy bespoke cabin, set in its own private garden of fruit trees and wildlife perfect for 2 people to relax in. Cabin is open plan with an Kingsize bed and has a small but well equipped kitchenette. There is a porch to relax on and an area for a campfire. There is a separate cabin just next door with a compost toilet and shower.
The kitchen
The cabin has a small fridge and mini electric oven and hob, microwave, air fryer, nutribullet and a stick blender and plenty of pots, pans and bowls etc. The cabin is stocked with dry goods such as oats, rice, pasta and lentils, along with a large range of herbs and spices and tea and coffee.
Other things to note
There are free-ranging animals on our sanctuary, including goats, hens, ducks, cats and ponies. As we are surrounded by agriculture land there can be very occasional machinery working in the fields particularly around harvesting time.
