ARTful RV on 1/2 acre in nature, near cityThis RV has an artistic and colorful interior reflective of our personal taste... it is very unique with lots of clashing colors and patterns. And we like weird art.It has one bedroom with a king size bed and a privacy curtain, it also has a day bed that could be used for sleeping. There's a full kitchen with microwave and we have a strict no-meat policy. To be clear, no cooking meat, absolutely no fish, and no fast food is allowed on the RV to prevent smells from permeating the interior. As a personal chef, I can negotiate meal prep for an additional fee.On the subject of smells… if you tend toward HEAVY perfume and cologne… please don’t. You may not realize how much of you you leave behind, but it’s a lot, and it’s extremely laborious to erase. For our scent-sensitive guests… we see you. Also on the subject of smells…There's a shower in the VERY SMALL bathroom with a hint of a tub that’s good for a foot soak, but not much else. The hot water heater only spits out ten gallons of hot water at a time so… timing is everything. We have a sewer hook up in place and will empty tanks during your stay when necessary. For those unfamiliar with RV’s; all waste matter goes into one tank, water from the sink goes into another and they have to be emptied. With regular use, it’s about every four days or so.The RV is an older model, 2007, but we keep it very clean and cozy, just know that there is usual wear from many years of use.The RV sits on our half acre property surrounded by cedar trees and gardens which we open to guests. We offer a fire pit on the back end of the property and there is a private sunbathing/cold water soaking tub area for hot afternoons and a meditation/yoga room for relaxing and centering. Nothing too fancy, just good spaces to relax, nap and unwind. We are working on improving WiFi. It exists, but it’s slow. There are spots on the property where it’s better than onboard the RV.We are on the river, surrounded by nature and it’s very peaceful, but this is a city. We live under a flight path, private jets and small planes can be heard occasionally throughout the day. We love them. We also live by a park, so loud music can be heard when there are weekend parties, it's usually great music and it’s never been a problem. The parties usually wind down long before the noise ordinance kicks in at 10pm. Our guests tell us that they have the best sleep of their lives on the RV, but I want to be realistic about the setting. There are also lots of chirping birds, it’s a veritable cacophony at times.ALSO, our neighborhood does not have easy access to public transportation. There is a parking space for a car, possibly two.Our neighborhood: There is a paved path that extends for MILES in both directions and we have so many beautiful parks along the river.5 minutes north is the Georgetown neighborhood that is bursting with great restaurants, taverns, wine rooms, art galleries, summer festivals and MORE.The Museum of Flight is about a mile away and is one of our favorites.Southcenter Mall is about 10 minutes south of us in the shopping district where you can find grocery stores and many restaurants. We also have hiking trails within 20-30 minutes of us in any direction along with a plethora of options for nature lovers.West Seattle is a 20 minute drive and offers shopping, restaurants, lots of great parks and the ever-popular Alki Beach, a hot spot for tourists and locals alike. We’re 15 minutes from downtown depending on traffic. And I know that the larger majority of people are respectful and will be great guests, we just have to state the rules clearly for those who are less civilized.-We have two 20-pound dogs. They are friendly and adorable, but any dog-fearing folks or people with allergies might not be comfortable here.-No guests, no parties. 2 people only.-No illegal activity. Sorry.-No smokers or vapers.-No heavy cooking (deep frying, etc), and no meat or fish. All strictly enforced. You'll be asked to leave immediately without refund if you violate our rules. We're very cool and welcoming, we’ll do everything we can to make your stay as wonderful as possible, but we don’t tolerate disrespect for us, our animals, our property, or our neighbors. If our rules sound unfair or too harsh… our home is not for you.
The kitchen
There is a rice cooker, small crock pot and all the basics; large pot, saucepan, plates, bowls, utensils. There are settings for two, but not much else. Super simple, RV style...
