We are a vegan family who own a restaurant consistently ranked amongst the top five in the country ( "Luna Blanca Vegan Restaurant") . We are fluent in Mongolian, English, Russian, and Spanish (with a little bit of Portugese and Khmer thrown in). Altanzaya: I am a sociologist. I studied for my master's in Russian and Phd in India. I have been a university professor and currently manage our online education site. Robert: I am an international development practitioner, having worked for UN, KfW, World Bank and others in Asia, Latin America and Africa.

Getting around the area
This is a typical middle class neighbourhood with lots of traffic and people...no tourist spots nearby but... We are next to a good quality cinema, budget shopping, coffee shops, other shopping. 35 minute walk to downtown. 15 minute walk to the Ghandan monastery. Getting around: Taxis are everywhere inlcuding parked in front of the apartment. Bus service is constant and reliable.

A closer look at the stay
About
We live 40 minutes walk from the center of the city - 30 minutes by taxi. In the winter our area has a lot of air pollution. Our neighbourhood is middle class, Soviet style, next to a "yurt" district. I have a PhD in sociology and run an online education company. My husband is an international development expert. We provide an open family atmosphere.
