The house is located on the end of a dead-end street with a 2-acre lot and no visible neighbors. There are great views of the Illinois river as the house is on the top of the hill overlooking the valley. It's quiet and sunny. The yard is entirely organic, and in the summer there should be an abundance of fresh veggies in the garden. We have installed a 15.6kw solar array to power the house. Currently our green creds include geo-thermal heating/cooling, all LED bulbs, and water saving fixtures. We've also converted over to native plants and have a milkweed garden for the monarchs.

Guest access: You'll have access to the entire house with the exception of our master bedroom.

This house actually has two kitchens! We love to cook and have lots of gadgets. Vitamix, food processor, stand mixer and pressure cooker are some of the major appliances. We also have a well-stocked pantry in case you want to cook but need a tsp of guar gum -- we have you covered! ;-)

We have two adorable and friendly cats. They don't have access to the guest rooms (unless you let them). While visiting friends with allergies seem to do ok, we can't guarantee that the house is completely allergen free.
