Hello! We are a VEGAN animal rescue and sanctuary located in the central valley of Costa Rica, mid-way between the capitol and the Caribbean coast. We operate an international farmstay, as well as host helpers and visitors from around the globe.

If you love animals, good and bad, big and small, you will love it here. Favorite places: It's a great, non-touristy area. If you would like to experience an authentic Costa Rican pueblo! Getting around: We are on a major bus route. You can access the farm from San Jose via Cartago, or from Turrialba.

About This Space
A closer look at the stay
About
We have a 3.5 hectare farm in Costa Rica's central valley which we use as an animal rescue and sanctuary. We have dogs, cats, goats, water buffalos, a pig and a horse.
The space
In our home we offer two small bedrooms with an adjoining bath. Each bedroom has a single bed. One of the bedrooms has a private entrance. Based on availability, we offer a screened guesthouse (casita), with a bedroom, including 2 single beds and bathroom. Guest access: Guests have access to the farm, where you can hike along a path, up the hill through our rain forest and mature coffee plants, and down to the river. Feel free to take a couple of dogs along with you!
The kitchen
We have a building on our property called the cafe - it is our shared space kitchen where everyone prepares vegan meals. You can purchase fresh, local, tropical fruit and vegetables within a 5 minute walk. Coffee & tea provided.
Other things to note
You really, really must love animals to stay here. At times, there can be noise from trucks passing or barking dogs. We guarantee there are a lot of critters that will absolutely love your attention!!
