About this space
We have a 3.5 hectare farm in Costa Rica's central valley which we use as an animal rescue and sanctuary. We have many street dogs, plus a variety of other animals (horse, goat, pig, chickens, cat), and we are on the farm to serve them!
The space
In our home we have two small bedrooms with an adjoining bath. Each bedroom has a single bed. One of the bedrooms has a private entrance. The other can be accessed through the house, or through the other bedroom and bath.
Guest access: Guests have access to the farm, where you can hike up the mountain, through our jungle, and down to the river. Feel free to take a couple of dogs along for the hike!
The kitchen
We have a building on our property called the cafe - it is our shared space kitchen where we prepare breakfast and lunch for the volunteers and guests. Breakfast is included in the cost of your room.
Other things to note
You really, really must love animals to stay here. There's going to be some barking and some poop. This we can guarantee. We also can guarantee that there are a bunch of critters that will absolutely love your attention!! Stay includes breakfast.

We can also arrange tours for you while in the area: Half-day cacao (chocolate) tour with traditional Costa Rican lunch, $15. Half-day waterfall tour with lunch at the falls, plus a visit to a 100 year old trapiche (sugar cane mill) with souvenir sugar block, $15. Pacuare white water rafting trip (full day) with lunch, $72.
