Neighborhood
Getting around the area
We are a few minutes walk from Parque Batlle and the Centenario Stadium. And 10 minutes by bus from the Tres Cruces Terminal. The Buceo Rambla and the MalvÃn beach are about 30 minutes away on foot. In the area there are several services: change, supermarket, 24hs convenience store, pharmacy, everything just around the corner or across the street. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, so it is very nice to walk, especially in spring. Getting around: We have very good locomotion to the most visited neighborhoods in the city (with bus stop on the corner) and we are at an ideal point to go out to explore the East of the country and its beaches, since all the buses to the East pass through the door. And if you want we can get you a rental bike to move around in Montevideo.

About This Space

About
We offer you all the comforts of home in a quiet residential neighborhood. It is a private and spacious room in a small house that we are always renovating, with very feminine style. We are 10 min. From the Tres Cruces central bus station, and a few blocks from 'Parque Batlle' Park. There are lots of buses to go to other neighborhoods of Montevideo as well as to the east of the country, where the best beaches are. You would share the house with me and my girlfriend, both architects and travelers.
The space
Our house is an interior apartment by hallway, typical Montevideo. Although it is on an avenue, the noise of the traffic does not arrive and in the sunny mornings some birds are heard. It has natural lighting and good vibes since it was and is constantly being renovated by us. The apartment has living-room with wood burning stove, semi-integrated kitchen, a bathroom, and two large bedrooms. One of them is our study and guest room. It is equipped with 1 or 2 single beds, light table, desk, closet with a free shelf and library with different reading material. Guest access: Guests will have access to common areas: living room, bathroom and kitchen with all utensils available, plus the washing machine, hair dryer, stove, fan and other elements of the house. There is an outside space set up for tabaco smokers. Free wifi. Breakfast is simple but tasty, Cofee or Tea, natural orange juice, and some delicious homemade cookies and jam (both homemade!)
The kitchen
My kitchen is small but has everything near your hand. I go to the street market, here "feria" every week to buy my fresh fruits and vegetables, if you are interested you can join me.
Other things to note
I usually stay quite at home since I am finishing my studies, so I can give you all the basic advice to go through Uruguay. I like cooking a lot, and as a freelance I do vegetarian meals on request, so if we coordinate I can cook for you too. ;) The breakfast we invite you. * There is no TV or microwave in the house.
