I am a lifelong vegan heart, a healer and animal communicator as well as a Mentor Coach for others wishing to embrace a pathway of compassionate mindful living. I have also had the pleasure of teaching and guiding the young lightworkers of the world for many beautiful years through my work with education and specialist intervention work. I live with Buddha, Bliss and Bonito and we love to be in the heart of nature. I am currently writing my second and third books, at the same time, and preparing an online coaching course.

Fun Facts About Me
Fun facts about Blissy.. Sunshine Ocean Bliss is a 3 year old supermodel sausage dog, born of 2 Ibiza mix dogs, her mother with a hint of daschund. She is thereby a long bodied floppy eared beauty with lovely long legs.. a cross between a small horse and a baby deer perhaps. She finds it very hard to reverse!! She is the best teaching assistant and retreat hostess, multi talented too. Fun facts about Buddha.. his full name is Buddha Mountain Moon and as he his favourite think is to drink water.He has tribal marks on his legs and eyes like the moon. He was found on Ibiza around midnight a week before christmas 2024, about 3 months old and meeowing in the cold and wet under a pallet. He accepted the embrace, left the dark and scary things and has never looked back! He is a big Bliss fan and quite good with a ball. Fun facts about Bonito: Bonito is less than a year old and a beautiful black kitten with a warm heart. He arrived at our last retreat in north Portugal one morning, very young and very wild. He stayed for breakfast and joined the family of his own choosing. He and Buddha are absolutely besties and are often found climbing trees and cuddling on seats together.

Getting around the area
This is one of the most beautiful parts of Portugal, wild and off the tourist trail. The villages are small and quaint, the property borders the river Mondego and 3 mountain ranges surround. Wildlife connection is likely, the peace here is profound.

About This Space
A closer look at the stay
About
Double room available for personal retreats for 1 person on the banks of the river Mondego. Plant based kitchen, meals provided, cooking lessons/shared cooking included as required. The location is extraordinary with extensive views of mountain and river plus hiking biking trails galore and plenty of wildlife and birds to delight. Perfect space for writing, painting, meditation, yoga, music, stillness.... Compassionate Coaching is also available on request. The property has 3 other residents, 2 beautiful cats who are mostly outdoor and a 4 year old therapy dog with oodles of love to give. All are sentient, soft, communicative and profound healers! I am currently writing books, we have a very peaceful and natural flow. You are welcome to join us for market trips, kayak adventures, hiking, local cafes, local live music... whatever works with your schedule. Day trips to Serra Estrela, Viseu, Porto, Braga, Coimbra, Castelo Branco, Aveiro and other local places of interest are possible. The nearest airport is Porto, transfers available by request. Only 1 guest at a time, preference given to females due to location. Minimum 1 week, maximum 4. If you need some chill and reset time this summer we are here to facilitate and hold space for you! 💚🌱💫❤️
The space
The house is quaint and has ample space, the bedroom is a good size, big bathroom with shower and washing maching and the living area is super comfortable. There is a patio area outside with outdoor table and chairs and a swing seat, the land is vast with a private river beach and lots of places to sit. We may have 2 horses join us on the land this summer too. In the warm months I choose to sleep in my tent on the land, there are outdoor toilets too, so at night the property will be just for you.
The kitchen
Meals are provided during your stay but you may also join me with cooking and cook for yourself. The kitchen is plant based vegan and has the usual appliances such a oven, job, fridge, smoothie maker, magic wand....
Other things to note
This is a super quiet space with a handful of houses perched behind and only 1 in front at some distance. The sounds here are river and birds! We are 1 female human, 1 female sausage dog mix and 2 male cats, all friendly clean and peaceable. Wifi is strong and steady. If you want to explore independently you will need a vehicle (parking available on the property) but I am also happy to provide transport for your adventures (at cost) and add you to ours!
