The house in Golfe-Juan is a 5-min walk to the beach and village centre — shops, cafés, a Tuesday / Friday market, buses, trains and free parking nearby. Your room is on the ground-floor and overlooks an inner courtyard, with a comfortable double bed, a desk and clothes rack. Step into a colorful duplex designed for creative spirits. Your private bedroom sits on the main floor, steps away from our shared kitchen, bathroom, patio, and open living area (my living area is upstairs). Inspired by an experiment by psychologist Dr. Ellen Langer, in which people in their eighties spent time in an environment recreated to feel like 20 years earlier, I had an idea: what if we recreated the feeling of being in a kindergarten? A large table in the living room is supplied with paints, clay, crayons, craft supplies and children’s books. The living room is a changing piece of collective art —feel free to contribute a drawing, a painting or collage during your stay! “On the pleasant shore of the French Riviera, about half way between Marseilles and the Italian border, stands a large, proud, rose-colored hotel.” is the opening sentence of Fitzgerald’s novel “Tender is the Night”, one of my favorite books. Fitzgerald and his wife Zelda stayed at the property (then called Villa Saint-Louis) in 1925, where he began writing Tender Is the Night. The villa was later transformed into the Hôtel Belles Rives in 1929 and officially opened as a hotel in 1930. It is one of the most beautiful places on the Coast, and you can visit it during your stay, for a pleasant afternoon!

We have a stove, a microwave, an oven, a fridge and a washing-machine in the kitchen. Vegan and vegetarian cooking are both welcome.

At the moment there are 2 kittens, so it will be difficult to accommodate other animals.
