We are long term vegans who love yoga, skiing, cycling and sharing good food with friends. Peter is a dietitian and Larisa is a family therapist.
My Lifestyle
We are whole food plant based vegans. So we avoid processed and vegan junk foods. We eat organic wherever possible and grow some of our food in our own garden. We get an organic veg and fruit box delivered each week from a local organic farmer. Upstairs outside the guest room are a water rower and an exercycle as well as yoga mat and dumbells all of which are available for guests to use.
Fun Facts About Me
We live in an elective community with three other households in a huge 1890s place behind us who are all family to Larisa - her fabulous mum and dad, her aunt and uncle, and her cousin and husband and two teenage girls. We call it the "Latvian Ghetto" as Larisa and family are all Latvian Australians. They are all quite irreverent and hilarious! Apparently the worst sin for Latvians is to be dull. Peter is the 'ring in' as an ex-pat Kiwi (who still misses beautiful New Zealand!).
Hobbies & Interests
We both love to ski. Peter competes in windsurfing - speed windsurfing in particular with a personal best of 77km/hr. Larisa is permaculture trained and takes the lead on our beautiful and productive garden which is full of a wide variety of fruit and nut trees. We both love yoga and greatly enjoy the fabulous Vinyasa Flow studio near to our home.

About This Space
A closer look at the stay
About
Our stunning and spacious house is in a fabulous location - close to cafes, shops, supermarkets, organic stores, and public transport.
The space
This two storey home was constructed in 1973 and has been lovingly restored by the owners. Thanks to floor to ceiling windows in almost every room of the house, natural light and views of the garden and tree lined streets can be enjoyed. The house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, four living areas and a private courtyard. We have heated floors which make for a wonderful warmth in winter and the house remains cool in summer. Guest access: Full use of the house, including kitchen, living rooms, dining room, and courtyard, Guests can enjoy a private space on the second floor which includes a separate living area, bathroom and bedroom. A mixture of vintage and modern furniture has been tastefully arranged for a sleek yet comfy vibe.
The kitchen
The kitchen remains original, and whilst functional it still requires an uplift.. The kitchen is open plan facing out to a large dining area with a large table and views out to a tropically inspired garden and courtyard, that can be enjoyed for outdoor dining or leisure throughout the year. The kitchen is well equipped with fan forced oven, microwave, blender, food processor, Nutribullet, air fryer, pressure/slow cooker, dehydrator, and sandwich press.
Other things to note
There is access to Thai massage 7 mins walk away - 1hr for $65. Very clean premises and very skilled staff. A yoga studio 15 mins walk away (https://lightspaceyoga.com.au) - you can purchase unlimited classes for a month for $28. We share the house with a geriatric cat who is friendly.
