About this space

My terraced home is a 15 to 20 minute walk from the heart of stunning Stamford. We have plenty of free, off road, lit parking at the rear of the property and a good sized double room for our guests. Allergy sufferers beware, I have two lazy but sociable cats roaming the house

The space

My home is in a quiet residential area of Stamford. I moved in over 2 years ago and have been modifying it ever since, with the guest room being the most recent space to be renovated - fresh plaster, new carpet, paint, bedding, all completed in August 2016. Don't fear, the house will always be clean, tidy and most importantly DIY free when you stay!

Guest access: As well as the double room, guests will have access to the modern shared bathroom with electric shower and bath.

A continental breakfast can be offered and will be served in the large kitchen/diner. If you require breakfast please let me when when you book - £5 per person/per night.

We also have a garden with hammock, table and chairs, plus a fire barrel, which guests are welcome to enjoy.

Long term guests can have further access to the house, so please get in touch to make arrangements.

The kitchen

The kitchen/diner is a large area with all of the core things needed, however this is a B&B listing so you will not need to lift a finger. A continental vegetarian breakfast will be provided for you at the large dining table.

Check in and check out time is listed as flexible due to work commitments. Generally, week day check in is 6pm and check out is 8:30am. Weekend check in times are much more flexible, check in can be from 2pm until late and check out can be up until 11am. If you require different check in/out times, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.

It all started as a way to get healthy, cutting out meat for a few days a week, but the more I learnt, the more I realised that I couldn't be a part of the meat industry anymore. Neighbourhood

I moved to Stamford with the intention of only being here for 6 months, almost 9 years later I'm still here!! It is a beautiful town, full of old world charm, lots to see and do and well connected should you wish to explore further.
For such a small town there is a lot packed in. Plenty of independent stores to give you your retail therapy fix, lovely open green spaces, charming architecture, countless restaurants and cafes and of course the stunning Burghley House, one not to be missed!

Getting around: Public transport isn't the best in Stamford. To get into the centre of town from home you can either walk (approx 15-20 min), drive and make use of the various car parks, or get a taxi (no more than £6 depending on the time of day).
The trains are hourly and you can get to Peterborough in 15 minutes. There are also good links to Stanstead Airport, Birmingham and other local towns, such as Oakham.
