Inspiring retreat studio close to the beach
About this space
Nestled in the hills of northern California, just a five-minute walk from the beach of a spring-fed lake, this self-contained studio retreat is perfect for rejuvenation, restoration, and reflection. Located in a safe, gated, diverse community, there are lots of quiet roads for walking and biking, and on the property there is a dedicated deck for sunning and relaxing, as well as a vegan organic food forest and garden. The room itself is clean and comfortable, with washing machine, kitchen, bath, and private entrance, and parking in the driveway. As 40-year vegans, we are potentially available for coaching in vegan nutrition, as well as meditation and yoga, etc.
The space
This studio is located on the ground floor of our house, with its own entrance, and is situated to be quiet and naturally cool in the summer. There is a double-bed sized futon in the main room as well as two small tables with chairs. Guests have access to the garden and the dedicated deck with lawn chair and sun umbrella. All the electricity is supplied by solar panels, with a back-up house battery and grid-tie-in.
The kitchen
There is a compact refrigerator as well as a Vita-mix blender and a Tribest personal blender. There is a hot-plate for cooking, as well as a water filtration system. The water is from a pristine aquifer and there is also a whole-house water structuring unit installed. The kitchen is vegan.
Other things to note
The wifi connection is dependable and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The night skies are clear and dark with bright stars, and there are free-roaming deer and wild-turkey who often come by. Lots of birds as well! The owners have no companion animals.
