There’s even a riverside café with great vibes, perfect for a relaxing afternoon. If you’re looking for a unique place that blends the best of traditional Japan with sustainable, nature-filled living, this is it. Book your stay now and experience the magic for yourself!

The space

AS you enter our house you'll find two tatami rooms measuring 6 and 8 tatami mats respectively. The bigger room serves as the bedroom.

On the north side of the house is a spacious living room and a well equipped kitchen.

On the other side of the house is a veranda with glass doors facing a small Japanese garden.

There is a bathroom with a shower and bathtub, and a modern toilet.

There are also a covered outdoor space, and a space to have a fire.

Our home is just the right size for a family or group of 2 to 6 people.

The kitchen

Host used to be a professional cater, owner of the restaurant and pastry chef so there are lots of spices and herbs you can try. In the kitchen there's shared fridge space. And we don't mind you bringing non-vegetarian food.

Other things to note

Drinking water is drawn from a near-by spring. The tap water is groundwater. The amount of water decreases during the dry season, so you need to be careful, but if you don't use it too much, it won't run out.

Drainage is directly connected to the river without going through a filter, so we use an ecofriendly detergent for washing hands, dishes, and laundry. We will explain how to use it at check-in.
