I am an artist and art therapist, and landscape architect living with my partner Jay and two dogs in Perth, WA. I have been vegan for a decade. I love animals and often try to help animal rescues by donating my art. I am also very passionate about eco-construction and living a sustainable lifestyle.
My Lifestyle
My partner and I live a simple lifestyle - we enjoy big walks and camping in nature with our dogs. We love sharing our vegan cooking with friends and family. I currently work from home as an artist, when I am not painting murals or running art workshops.
Fun Facts About Me
I was born in Hungary, moved to Mauritius when I was 10, came to live in Perth at 21. I became vegetarian when I was 3 years old because i loved animals, to the distress of my family who had never heard of people who didn't eat meat. They found out there was a word for people like me when I was 6.
Hobbies & Interests
Painting, drawing, making things with my hands - anything creative. Also psychology and neuroscience.

About
This recently built straw bale cottage on its own large block is the ideal cozy base for nature lovers and adventurers. The small but very comfortable, eco-friendly space with beautiful views in almost every direction is also perfect as a romantic getaway or quiet retreat for travellers. This unique home was a labour of love built by your hosts. It has all the wonderful atmosphere that lime rendered straw bale creates - undulating walls and deep windows overlooking the bushland.
The space
We are located only a few minutes’ stroll from the top of Dempster Headland with breathtaking views over West Beach; the Rotary lookout and walks, and West Beach with its wonderful lagoons perfect for a dip or a surf. You will love the expansive inland views from the deck. It is the most wonderful spot to unwind while you watch the sun set over the bushland and horizon, while listening to the abundant birdlife. It is also perfect for stargazing on a clear night with the twinkling lights of the town below. You will find glimpses of the ocean from the deck and front and back of the property. We are located a 15 minute walk to the centre of town. The cottage is equipped with all you will need to cook your own vegetarian/ vegan meals with a full kitchen and plant based cookbook collection and staples provided. We also have a super comfy Koala mattress for the best night’s sleep. We invite you to relax in our coastal sanctuary. You can follow the journey of how we built it on instagram: @ourstrawbalehome and watch and help us grow by sharing your suggestions on how we can improve. Please bear with us as the landscaping is still a work in progress.

We do not allow gatherings in our home and please keep noise to a minimum at all times. We are good friends with our neighbours and they have requested this, and will notify us of any breaches. Please do not use peroxide based skin care products or fake tan as these damage our sheets and towels. If you damage sheets or towels you will be asked to pay for replacement costs. Please enjoy the books and games provided but please do not remove them or you will be asked to return them. We are not connected to main sewer therefore we have a septic tank. Please only use cleaning products provided and only use the washing powder and liquid provided.
