I've been vegetarian for abut30 years and vegan for about 20. I like living in the Shenandoah Valley because of the mountains and rivers and lived most of my life here. I like to travel and have traveled out west, Mexico 4 times, Costa Rica, London and Canada and I like to meet travelers and hear their stories. I have been on Airbnb for 7 years and just now found out about this bnb. I like to hike, kayak, bike, forage for mushrooms and I grow and sell mushrooms at the Harrisonburg Farmers Market. I'm always looking for helpers if you'd rather work than pay the fee.

My Lifestyle

Vegan for at least 20 years. I like to hike the local mountains, kayak the local rivers, I have 6 kayaks if you want to kayak with me. I have 2 mountain bikes and 1 old road bike that I'm restoring.

About This Space

A closer look at the stay

About

5 miles from Harrisonburg Va. Not far from Interstate 81. 4 acres of peace and quiet. There are 2 fire pits in my campground that may be used with free firewood. The house is a 2 story Cape Cod design that is 7 years old. Not far from the mountains east or west. Check out Shenandoah National Park and Melrose Caverns is 5 minutes away.

The space

1 Queen bed and one single bed. Lots of room to run dogs outside. Nice, wooded areas to explore and have a picnic with fire pits. Gravel road near my house is great for taking a walk. No neighbors, just peace and quiet. Great views. Stream below the house to walk to. I have a garden and I am happy to give a tour of my mushroom farm. I grow and sell mushrooms at the Harrisonburg Farmers Market.

The kitchen

Please ask for permission to use the kitchen. There is a guest refrigerator. Microwave and stove.

Other things to note

Say Hi to my cat Ghost Cloud. He eats half vegan and half regular food. WIFI is great here. Lots of parking. Very quiet.
