My Lifestyle
I have been vegetarian since I was a kid and went vegan in India 11 years ago. Since then my diet has gradually evolved toward raw fruitarian. Doug Graham's 80-10-10 diet my closest approximation. I love swimming in the Pacific Ocean and walking all the gorgeous tracks here with my dogs and partner, Marc. I was once an actor in Glasgow, have travelled widely including all through South and North America, have lived in Tel Aviv, Mykonos, Paris, New York, San Francisco and Sydney, and 6 years ago nested in the beautiful Northern Rivers region.

Where the lush rainforest hinterland meets the sea. Bordering on Byron national park but minutes from the bustling shopping centre of Ocean Shores, the location combines northern rivers coastal lifestyle with the convenience of amenities. A five minute drive will have you in the popular seaside resort of Brunswick Heads, where Brunswick heads health cafe serves vegan/vegetarian food and drink. Byron Bay a 14 minute drive away offers a la carte vegan dining at No Bones and Yulli's restaurants. The jewel in the crown of your stay is the stunning New Brighton beach, which is bordered by the Brunswick Heads Nature Reserve. Seasonal whale watching and plenty of native wildlife. Let the local kookaburras and currawongs be your wake up call.

About
Raw vegan lifestyle in the sun-kissed paradise of Ocean Shores. Stunning New Brighton surf beach 2 minutes away, 14 minutes from cosmopolitan Byron Bay and less than an hour from Gold Coast airport. Ocean Shores shops including organic fruit and veg and restaurants, a 2 minute walk away. House has filtered Kangan water, guests have full use of vegan kitchen, full vegan linen and organic mattress, block blue light eye-protective bulbs, bathroom for sole use of guest, only one guest(s) at a time. House freshly painted and everything in the guest room and bathroom is brand new and awaiting you. Your hosts are Lesley, an international Scottish author published by vegan publishing in Boston MA (https://lesleydow.com/) and Marc, who works locally in a legal practice. Both are committed long-term ahimsic vegans following Doug Graham's 80-10-10 raw diet. Oh and there's Chimp and Bob, a couple of gentle vegan dogs beaming with health and happiness. Come and stay in our garden of Veden.
The space
Guests have private access to a beautiful balcony that opens out from their upstairs room (see photoes). As well, guests have full access to the rest of the house, including the downstairs balcony and garden.
The kitchen
Vitamix, nama juicer, food processor, Japanese kangan water filter, electric cooker, spiralizer, plenty of fridge and freezer space and full standard kitchen wear.
Other things to note
Yes, two companion dogs live on the property. Parking is off street on the property. WiFi adequate for working from home. The house has a quiet, relaxed and unhurried ambience
