I live in a quiet rural area close to the sea in West Cork. I love nature and wildlife and growing my own food. I gave up eating meat when I was 13 and spent most of my 20's vegan. I have always had a love of animals and nature and try to promote this in my lifestyle.
My Lifestyle
I live in rural Ireland and being on a plant base diet grow most of my own food in my greenhouse and garden which I adore. I trained with Vegetarian society UK cookery courses and also spent time learning about Macrobiotics and seaweeds.
Hobbies & Interests
I am very interested in wildlife and support my local bird population. I am currently feeding many different species and enjoy watching the numbers increase yearly. We also a healthy bat population which can be seen outside at dusk. I also feed a family of local foxes which have cubs at this time of year. I enjoy nature walks with my dog. Bird watching. Listening to podcast and watching films and reading.

Getting around the area
The area is perfect for nature walks and bird watching. Also close to the local beaches and sightseeing. Just a seven minute drive from the village of Schull which hosts the Fastnet Film Festival, Calves sailing week and has local bars with live music and hotel with leisure centre.

A closer look at the stay
About
Dove Haven is a self contained apartment close to the village of Schull. It is set in a beautiful, quiet rural area overlooking Dunmanus Bay, on the Wild Atlantic Way. Just perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle and completely relax.
The space
A self contained two bedroom apartment attached to my home. Kitchen/Living room, One double bedroom and one single bedroom. Bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet. Patio area outside with bistro table and chairs. Also picnic bench in garden.
The kitchen
Kitchen has sink with hot and cold water. Electric hob, refrigerator, microwave, kettle and toaster. The apartment is self contained and breakfast is not included but I provide the basics for people on arrival like muesli/granola plant base milk etc and will ask if vegetarian or vegan.
Other things to note
The local towns of Bantry and Ballydehob have lovely wholefood shops. I have one dog called Tove who is very friendly and lives separately in main house. We have good WiFi. House is quiet and area very quiet.
