Getting around the area
Our neighborhood is quiet, friendly, safe and right in the center of downtown Middletown. Nearby amenities include a 24 hour gas station and convenience store, a grocery store, several restaurants, a post office, bank ATMs, a hardware store, two coffee shops, a flower and tux shop, beauty parlors, a gym, a yoga and dance studio, a laundromat, and various interesting retail stores. A community pool (open only during the summer), soccer and baseball fields, and tennis courts are a block away. Favorite places: We are located close to Lake County's famous hot springs resorts, including nearby Harbin Hot Springs, as well as to numerous amazing hiking spots. Also, Clear Lake, California's largest natural lake, is only 20 minutes away by car. Getting around: Anywhere in downtown Middletown is very easy to walk to. A bus stop is a block away, and large stores are readily accessible by car in nearby Clearlake.

About
Come enjoy a cozy stay in a vintage VW van, a comfy porch sofa and/or an indoors queen-sized sofa bed in downtown Middletown near all amenities and the famous hot springs. Your stay features a vegan kitchen and both indoor and outdoor dining areas.
The space
We offer guests accommodation in a lovely VW camper van, as well as on a front porch sofa and a queen-sized sofa bed situated in a shared room. All paying guests have access to the shared living and dining rooms, vegan kitchen, bathroom and antique bathtub, and front garden. Guest access: Paying guests have access to the shared bathroom and antique claw foot bathtub, kitchen, living and dining rooms, dining table, front porch, front garden, front parking lot, and the VW van (if rented). We also have a small porta-potty for those staying on the porch sofa or in the VW van. Non-paying guests of paying guests only have access to the outdoor facilities, which are the front porch, front garden and front parking lot.
The kitchen
Our kitchen is 100% vegan and is set up for those who enjoy mostly raw food. A hotplate and toaster oven can be provided upon request for those who wish to heat up water or cook vegan food. No non-vegan food can be brought into the building, including for companion animals. Refrigerator space is very limited.
Other things to note
Nuts have been used in our kitchen, and dogs are present on the property, so those with relevant allergies have been warned.

Vegan-only cooking / food storage
Only vegan food can be brought into the building or VW van. No alcohol can be consumed on the premises. Drunk or notably altered people may be asked to leave, although we are generally 420 friendly. Careful and respectful tobacco use is only allowed outside the building. No TV.
