Dear Guests
So we have as wonderful a time together as possible, here are the house rules. Please do take a moment to read them so you know what is expected. Apologies if they sound obvious but they are listed here because at some point this has happened:
The experience of staying in here is not quite the same as staying in a hotel. For my part, as a host, I am trusting you with my home and possessions. Please aim to treat my home with the same care as you would your own or a friend's place.
For insurance purposes I can only host people who book under their own profile with verifications etc. If you are looking to book for your friend / parents / colleague, they would need to do it under their own profile.
Non guests: Sorry, non guests can't be brought back.
Keys: if you are given a set of keys to the house, please look after them very carefully and don't leave them in any place that would allow an intruder to get in.
Please don't keep the keys together with the address of the house.
Unfortunately, if you lose the keys you will need to cover the cost of having a new set made, which can cost between £20 to £40.
Locking the doors: When you check in you will be shown how the front door locks.
On both leaving and returning to the flat, it will be your responsibility to check and make sure the door is shut and locked behind you. I write this because many guests leave the front door unlocked. Not checking the door is locked puts both our possessions at risk.
Please do not leave the keys to the flat in the front door (yes, it has been done).
The flat is non smoking throughout. (Unfortunately, smoking in the bedroom with the windows open is not ok).
Coming home:
On evenings before workdays ( Sun to Thursday ) guests asked to return home by midnight and keep noise to a minimum.
Unfortunately sound carries through the flat so guests are asked not to make loud calls by mobile or internet after midnight on weekdays.
It would also be greatly appreciated if you could put phones on silent mode between midnight and 7am so that incoming phone calls and texts don't disturb. If watching films or listening to music after midnight, using headphones would be appreciated.
Please make sure to close the front door quietly during times when others may be sleeping.
Damages: Please take care with your suitcases, wheels, bags and rucksacks not to scuff the walls or scratch the flooring.
Unfortunately, breakages and damage will need to be paid for.
Guests are asked not to wear shoes in the flat.
The cleaner will come and clean the bedroom after the end of a stay but this does not involve cleaning dishes. Guests are asked to tidy up after themselves during their stay.
Please leave towels on the bed at the end of the stay for the cleaner to remove.
Many thanks for reading.
