Cozy Lakeside Cottage in South Karelia

The cottage is designed to feel warm, cozy, and connected to nature. It comfortably hosts up to three guests, with one double bed and one single bed that suit couples, friends, or small families. All guest areas are on the heated first floor, where the air pump keeps the indoor temperature pleasant year round. The second floor isn’t heated yet, so it isn’t part of the guest space.

You’ll have full access to the sauna, which fits four people and includes a shower suitable for everyday use. The kitchen is well equipped for home cooking, with a stove, oven, dishwasher, and all the essentials you need to prepare meals.

There is no television, but a movable monitor is available for connecting your laptop. A small bookshelf offers reading material on gardening and forming a deeper relationship with the land, perfect for slow mornings or cozy evenings.

Outside, guests are welcome to enjoy the garden and the small patch of forest that leads directly to the private lake entrance. In warmer months the lake is wonderful for swimming, and in winter it usually freezes solidly enough for safe ice dipping.

The wooden stove in the cottage is decorative and serves as a relaxed reading corner, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. The entire space has been thoughtfully created to support comfort, simplicity, and harmony with the surrounding landscape.

The kitchen is well stocked and ready for comfortable everyday cooking. It includes a stove, oven, dishwasher, a roomy refrigerator with a freezer section, and plenty of counter space for meal preparation. You’ll find essential cookware, utensils, and a wide selection of common spices and oils so you can cook without needing to bring much from home.

Small appliances include an electric kettle, coffee press, toaster, and mixer.

There are no animals living on the property except for the occasional small wildlife. Companions animals are welcomed 💚
