Cosy house in a charming village of the wild Corbières, Occitanie.

The village is surrounded by short mountain hills and vineyards. The house is located in a dead end, quiet. The mairie bell rings every half an hour like in most of French villages. Few hikes are proposed around the village including the Cathar path. A Twelve century church located next to the ruins of Castelmaure is within fifteen walking distance from the village. The famous cave of Castelmaure is open daily seven days a week and propose wine degustation until 6.00 pm. A baker comes everyday around 11 AM to deliver bread. A small supermarket is 15’ driving distance away in the village of Durban. The first Cathar castle is 15’ driving distance away from Embres. The sea shore is 25 km away from the village and the Spanish border an hour and a half away. Cadaques is two hours away from our location.
