Getting around the area
Friedrichshain is one of Berlin's most exciting and welcoming neighborhoods, and I love calling it home. The area around Boxhagener Platz — affectionately known as "Boxi" by locals — is the beating heart of the neighborhood, lined with cafés, bars, and some of the best vegan and vegetarian restaurants in the city. My personal favorite is Vegano Mezo, which is just a few minutes away from home walking distance, but the options are truly endless around here.

A little home away from home in Friedrichshain Welcome! I'm so happy to host you in my cozy apartment in the heart of Friedrichshain — one of Berlin's most vibrant and beloved neighborhoods. The private room is bright and comfortable, a warm little retreat after a day of exploring the city. You'll be surrounded by some of the best cafés, restaurants, and bars Berlin has to offer, with parks, the East Side Gallery, and great transport links all nearby. The apartment is a calm, clean space where you can truly relax and feel at home. I love sharing my neighborhood with guests and am always happy to give recommendations. Come as a stranger, leave knowing Berlin a little better.
The space
The guest room is a private, comfortable space with everything you need for a restful stay. You'll have full access to the entire apartment — the living room, fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom are all yours to use freely. It's a real home, not just a room, and I want you to feel that way from the moment you arrive. Make yourself a coffee, curl up on the sofa, and settle in. Mi casa es tu casa.
The kitchen
This is a typical old Berlin apartment with an old kitchen. Sadly my oven is currently broken and only two burners of the stove work. But you are welcome to use the kitchen and all appliances while you are here.
Other things to note
A friendly cat named Kushy lives in the apartment, she's gentle, curious, and might just come to say hello. 🐾 Please keep this in mind if you have allergies or are not comfortable around cats. The apartment is generally quiet and peaceful. WiFi is reliable for everyday browsing, and calls, but may not be ideal for heavy remote work or large downloads, plan accordingly if you need a strong connection for professional use. As for parking, there is street parking in the area, but I'm not very familiar with the local rules, so I'd recommend arriving by public transport — Friedrichshain is very well connected!
