A bedroom with bathroom, with access to shared areas of the house. You'll have a completely private room and bathroom, and will share the common areas, including the shaded back yard, kitchen, porch, living, and dining, rooms, if we have any house-guest(s).
The space
We're looking for a responsible, vegetarian, single, or couple, to share our charming, fully-furnished, guest-house, named Haskell’s House. It's in a safe neighborhood near downtown Ft. Lauderdale and is within walking distance to many amenities, including tennis, library, theatre, museums, grocery store, restaurants, bars, heated public swimming pool and more. We make one room available for vegetarian or vegans, while the other bedroom is kept for our family or guests. Our house is perfect for those who enjoy laid-back, quiet, calm, green, living. Great for EMF or chemically sensitive individuals. Ideal for those relocating and looking for a temporary home while finding a new one. We prefer stays of at least a moth and are open to longer -term after a trial month. Guest access: Off-street parking, fenced back yard, high speed ethernet (NO wi-fi allowed), books, DVDs, games, washer and dryer.
The kitchen
A vintage kitchen stove, and large refrigerator. A Champion Juicer, Vita-Mix, Excalibur dehydrator, Berkey water filter, toaster oven, coffee grinder and maker, popcorn popper, blender, pots and pans. No microwave or dishwasher.
Other things to note
Some, though not all people have problems with phone reception and use an ethernet-connected adaptor. We do not allow wi-fi. Payment required in advance to hold room, signed guest agreement. Damage/cleaning deposit due upon arrival, please.
