We are both avid yoga practitioners and normally practice on a daily basis. Guests are welcome to join us, in which case mats will be provided. For those who arrive late we can provide a breakfast basket for your first morning. This includes a loaf of locally baked bread, margarine, locally produced jam and some seasonal fruit. For those who prefer we can also provide whole grain müsli, almond or oat milk and nuts and dried fruit. Price: 12Є for two people and 4Є for each additional guest. Coffee and Tea are available free of charge.

Getting around the area
We are only 12 km away from the sea and from some of the most beautiful beaches in the area. There are multiple UNESCO World Heritage sites nearby, and we are surrounded by unspoilt countryside, making our house the perfect place from which to discover the rich landscapes, ancient villages and the many activities the area offers. There are for example beautiful hiking and cycling trails which start right in front of our house. Our closest supermarket is in our neighbouring village, Riera de la Gaia, which is a 6 min drive from our house. You can also shop at the village store in Nou de La Gaia (4 min drive) where you can buy all the essentials and locally produced products such as fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh baked bread and excellent local wines. In a close by village, La Mora there is an organic fruit and vegetable store which offers only local and fresh products. There also is a large health food store called Veritas in Altafulla, just a 15 min drive from our house. Nearby (15 min drive) lie Torredembarra and Altafulla, two small seaside villages where you can find international restaurants, cafes, bars and live music! There are two restaurants in Altafulla which serve good quality vegan and vegetarian dishes and nowadays most of the seaside restaurants serve fully vegan vegetable paellas. Roman Tarragona is only a 25 min drive away where you can visit historical sites and the beautiful old part of town. Around us are six different wine districts all within 30 minutes to an hour’s drive away. Among them is the world famous Priorat, one of two Spanish wine districts to reach DOCa status. We also recommend you to visit Sitges, (45 min drive) an international, vibrant seaside town. There you can walk along the famous beach promenade, visit the old part of the town and there are plenty more vegetarian restaurants to choose from. Barcelona is a 90km train or car ride away, close enough for a day-trip (or longer) to experience the marketplace, shopping, restaurants, parks and the many other attractions the city has to offer. For those with children, the famous adventure theme park, Port Aventura in Salou is just a 30 min drive from our house. It’s necessary to have a car to be able to stay with us as there are limited bus services which only run on weekdays. Vehicles can park in the street in front of our main entrance. The train station, from which trains run directly to Barcelona and its city center, are an 18 min drive from our house.

A closer look at the stay
About
Relax in the beautiful countryside of Vespella de Gaia, which lies in a tranquil region of small Mediterranean coastal villages dotted amongst vineyards and fields of olive trees. Our house looks out across the valley to an ancient church perched on the opposite hill. We are only 12 km away from the sea and from some of the most beautiful beaches in the area. There are multiple UNESCO World Heritage sites nearby, and we are surrounded by unspoilt countryside with hiking and cycling trails.
The space
Indoors our independent one-bedroom apartment (40 m2) offers you everything you need for a break of a few days or a holiday of a few weeks. The living room has a fully equipped kitchenette with a small refrigerator/freezer, a stove, and a laundry machine. There is a TV and dining area containing a sofa bed sufficient for two additional guests (1,40m). The bedroom has a comfortable double-bed (1,50m), plenty of closet space and views of the pool area. The apartment is equipped with a new bathroom with a large shower. Outdoors guests have access to our spacious terrace area which has an out-door kitchen, a barbecue and dining area (we provide vegetarian cook ware for the barbecue). The area around the pool (8X4 meters) is equipped with sun beds and sun shades. It is also fenced providing extra safety for families with young children. We also have a children’s play area with a swing and an outdoor lounge area for adults :) All outdoor areas including the pool are shared only with ourselves, the owners of the house, and we give guests priority.
The kitchen
We have a small yet fully equipped kitchenette. There is a quick heating double induction cooktop burner, a small fridge with freezer compartment, a nutribullet so you can make smoothies. We have an Italian coffee maker and we offer filtered water, herbal teas and coffee free of charge.
