Animal Place is a farmed animal sanctuary located in Grass Valley, CA. The Guest House offers a unique experience, reasonable rates and a chance to meet the amazing rescued animals who call Animal Place home!Animal Place’s Guest House (next door to the sanctuary) is 6.5 miles from downtown Grass Valley, 8 miles from Nevada City, and a short drive from the Yuba River, local, and state parks.
The space
The Wilbur Room has two sets of bunk beds, both single-over-single. This is a great space for a small group wanting to visit the sanctuary and area. Guests in the Wilbur Room have access to a shared bathroom, kitchen, living room, screened-in back porch and yard area.
Guest access: All guests have access to a shared fully equipped kitchen, parking, WiFi, television with DVD player, board games, cards, and more. At this time we do not provide toiletries so please bring your own. (Out of respect for the animals, we ask that you bring cruelty-free and vegan soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and other necessities.)
Daily rentals include a free modified 30-minute guided tour where you will meet 1-2 species of animals. A private, 2-hour guided tour is available for an additional fee of $75 and includes meeting 4-6 species of animals. Booking a tour is one of the best ways to spend time with the animals. For guests over the age of 18, volunteering opportunities are available, let me know if you are interested in that when you book!
The kitchen
The kitchen in the Guest House is stocked with kitchen tools and equipment, and there are basic breakfast items stocked for guest house.
Other things to note
The base price for this room is $150 and is based on 1-2 people staying. If there is a third or fourth person in your party, please let me know and I can get you an adjusted price. A third and fourth person will be an additional $20 per person, per night.
