Hi there! We are Terra Frutis, a mostly raw and fruit based community of vegans in South-East Ecuador. We moved to out to our main property this year so now we have our old headquarters available for long and short terms stays. The yard is full of exotic fruit trees from all over the world, for example: durian, marang, blackberry jam fruit, breadfruit, rollinia/biriba, ice cream bean... Some of these are fruiting, some not. Guests are welcome to harvest and eat from the yard.

Getting around the area
It is a quiet, safe village just a 10 minute taxi ride from the nearest town. Friendly neighbours. Favorite places: In the surrounding area there is a spa/sauna, waterfalls, Centro Shuar and other attractions. Gualaquiza is a nice area for mountain hikes. The market has a wide selection of local fruits, some that are only available in this area. Traditional foods from this area (including vegan/vegetarian) can be found there. Getting around: There are taxis, buses, rancheras (small buses) close by. The easiest way to get to the house is by taxi, it is $2 from town.

About
A house with shared kitchen and living spaces at the edge of the Amazon rainforest. Perfect for tourists, travellers, digital nomads. Easy access to nearest town with large fruit market, plus tourist attractions (waterfalls, spa/sauna, Centro Shuar).
The space
We have a 3 bedroom house with shared kitchen and living spaces. A large yard filled with plentiful fruit trees, including exotic fruit such as durian, marang, abiu, blackberry jam fruit and others. There is fruit producing year round so whenever you visit you can enjoy something from our garden. Guest access: Guests have access to the house, kitchen and large yard. There is a river at the back of the property suitable for swimming.
The kitchen
The kitchen is 100% vegan. We eat only whole foods, mostly raw. Guests are welcome to eat any vegan food they like, but please no frying in the shared pots. Refrigeration space available. There is a stove, pots, plates, cutlery, large bowls, cutting boards, blender, hand juicer etc.
Other things to note
We also have the entire house available to rent. Please note that we do accept bookings for less than a month. Any stay less than the month is charged at $150.

We do not accept pets. No smoking is permitted on the property. The property is 100% plant-based vegan so no animal products are permitted. Check-in and out are flexible.
