Our newly constructed cabin is a modern, one bedroom home perched in a forested nook with seasonal views of Cayuga Lake. This little cabin sits on our 40-acre property, also home to Saoirse Pastures- a farm animal rescue and sanctuary. 4.5 miles to downtown Ithaca, 4.5 miles to Taughannock State Park & Trumansburg and 17 easy miles to Hector and the Seneca Lake making the location perfect for whatever adventure awaits you! The Black Diamond hiking and biking trail is also right at your doorstep.

The space

There is a queen bed in the bedroom. The common area/ living room has a pull out couch with a full size mattress. There are split units throughout, cooling the cabin in the warmer months and heating during the winter. WIFI connection is available, with country cell service. The front deck offers a seasonal spot to sit and enjoy the seasonal lake view and surrounding woods. The cabin sits on a private driveway that is shared with two other households. The kitchen

We have an induction stove and appropriate pots and pans for the stove top; a full fridge and freezer; utensils; tea and coffee to use with a French press; plenty of counter space and an island.

Other things to note

- Please remove shoes at front door - We ask that you help us keep this a shoeless house. - The code to get in will be the last four digits of the phone number linked to your vegvisits account. - When locking the front door, after you enter your code, you need to pull tight a bit as you turn the deadbolt by hand to get it to lock. - The little turntable is Bluetooth compatible if you travel w Bluetooth speakers. The manual is in the desk drawer. It also has little speakers if not. We’ve left a couple records to enjoy on your stay. Please treat them well, and they should treat you well :) - The shower takes a bit to get warm. - The trail out the front window is the 8.4 mile Black Diamond trail which connects Taughanock Falls in Trumansburg to Cass Park in Ithaca.  We are about 3.5 miles up from Cass Park. https://www.gofingerlakes.org/locations/black-diamond-trail/ - Compost bin in the counter is for your veggie scraps, recycling (glass, paper, aluminum) is the black bin under the sink. - WIFI network: CAMBIUM    Password: 12345678 - We ask that out of privacy of the other homes and the safety of our sanctuary residents you do not walk around the property or the driveway. The Black Diamond Trail Head is at the bottom of the driveway to access for walks and hiking. - Feel free to reach out w any questions and enjoy! The cabin is the first of three houses located on the property and private driveway. You will pull in the driveway and park on your right hand side. The code to unlock the door will be the last four digits of the phone number linked to your vegvisits account. Once you enter the code turn the knob BY HAND to unlock. Same to lock the door when leaving.
