Located in a quaint neighborhood, at the heart of the city, is a private sunny room within a charming old style apartment. My house will be your house in Lisbon. I'll gladly share my insights on what to do, eat and see in this lovely city of ours :)
You will love this apartment as it is full of character! From the wooden flours, doors and window frames to the cute balcony, from were you can wave at our senior neighbors. It comes with your own private bedroom, a small kitchen and bathroom we will be sharing, as well as the living/dining room witch you are welcome to use as yours. The balcony sits on this living room and your room is just next to it.
Simple kitchen with everything you need to prep you vegan lunch ;)
You will be given your own set of KEYS on check in, so you can roam in and out freely. You will find your room clean and fresh linens and towels.
Care for the house as if it was your own and don't step on the cat ;)
Generally use common sense and don't do anything like burning down the house... You can smoke on the balcony but make sure you don't trow cigarettes at anyone on the street.
Please avoid eating in the room, specially on the bed, you are welcome to use our living room for eating. We have a RECYCLNG area and a basket for organic waist in the kitchen. We also request that you care for the common areas, living room/dining room, balcony, kitchen, and bathroom, as common housemates would.
We are not allowed to make loud noises after 10 pm on week days (later on weekends) or before 8 am by Portugal's law.
If you have any issue, need anything or miss anything in your room please let us know and we will do our best to support you. Feed back is the best and fastest way to learn how to get better at anything in life.
If you have read this house description fully thank you so much for your patience! Please wright the work Karuna on your next communication with me so I know you have read everything and are aware of the house rules, thank you! I look forward to greet you :) Ana
You couldn't be better located if what you like is to be downtown. We are in a traditional neighborhood close to historical monuments as well as everything that is happening ether nighttime or daytime. Yet our street is calm and quiet so you get the best of two worlds, you are close to the buzz of the city in a street that is more like a village.
Our street leads to a small square animated by street performers and even a flee market on weekends.
We have a nice grocery store on our street, 3 minutes away we have an organic supermarket, a vegan restaurant , nice coffee shops and a cute public square. We are as close as we can possibly be to Bairro Alto, the "night district", withouth actualy being there, and quite close from Bica and Cais do Sodre, Intendente or even Graça. We are quietly close to the buzz...
Restaurants: The Food Temple (all vegan) Jardim das cerejas (all vegan) Princesa do castelo (all vegan Hindu Temple (vegetarian) Duck tales (some vegan options you will need to ask for no eggs in some dishes) Mo-Mos (some vegan options - regular momos have cheese but you can ask for no cheese momos)

About Your Host
Hello hello! I'm Ana, a fine Arts Graduate, part time chef at a vegan restaurant and a practitioner, in training, of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I live in a charming little apartment in a privileged central location of down-town Lisbon that I have enjoyed sharing with airbnb travelers for 3 years now. I try as much as I can to get away from the city, at least one weekend per month and I have a project to buy a Mercedes Benz and build up a "moving house" in it :D I'm renting my extra room to help support this project and finance my course.
